What will 20Ten sound like? With the new album just around the corner, I know everyone's buzzing to know what he's gonna do this time. I don't think the general public could have predicted the heavy, psychedelic Lotusflow3r and the autotuned electronics of Mplsound before their release. What will 20Ten be like?
Judging from Cause and Effect and Hot Summer, I hear a really plain, straightforward pop album in the works.
And is it just me or does the cover look awfully familiar?

And how does the title sound? twenty-ten? two-o-ten? And what does it mean? Again some possible biblical refrerral? Will Prince get sued since he said Internet is dead and 20ten.com is a site for a company delivering rich multimedia on the internet?
Some many questions and so many parallels.
We can believe a) we will never understand the title b) it will again be a nice but no historic Prince album c) it will be released physically d) there will be a website although Prince again decleared the Internet dead
sugesstion: I guess this album will be co-produced by Terry & Jimmy Jam aka know as two friends who got stuck in the snow.

It depends on your speakers, quality of audio equipment it's played on and any significant earwax buildup. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I heard a rumor from someone who knows someone who overheard a reliable source that's "in the know" say that that 20Ten will consist of 20 tracks of complete silence, and then, at the very end, Prince suddenly yelling "SUCKAS!!!" and laughing hysterically for 10 seconds.
I expect many heated threads passionately discussing and disssecting what Prince intends the silence of each track to signify, as well as whether or not the ringlike circle shape of the CD itself is meant to represent the ring Prince has - or has not yet - given Bria if they are - or are not yet - married.
This CD will be very profound and will transform many lives.

Maybe the title 20ten was just simply inspired by the year it's being released.

So far, 2010 sounds like Janelle Monáe. For me, anyway. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

going on what we might have heard from it by now (possibly 'cause and effect' and 'hot summer') this album seems like it might be Planet Earth part 2.
i'm expecting something with on overall pop sound, laced with the typical prince production and some good guitar playing.
not expecting anything deeply inventive or weird. planet earth was given away with newspapers as well and it was a very 'easy' and 'light' prince album. at least to me it was and is.
i'm not expecting a big theme or feel to run through the album. instead it will probably just be a mix of everything prince can do crammed into a 10 track disc that feels a bit like a mixed tape.
just like planet earth.
probably a nice album for the summer, something to keep you interested for a few months but without any real staying power.
i'll be happy as long as it contains 2 or 3 killer tracks to add to my 'prince classics' playlist
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Buy it when it comes out and then you'll know for yourself. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that
