Another interesting quote: "I don't want you to record this interview, because then it gets printed and these quotes could haunt me forever. I might change my mind about some things I say to you today."
Prince also refuses to answer a question about Michael Jackson. He smiles and says "next question."
He compares the internet to MTV "Remember when MTV was hip? And then all of a sudden it was over?" (so true) "Same for the internet."
The interviewer asks what his business model for the future looks like and Prince says "I could tell ya, but then I would have to kill ya."

He says at one point Prince starts to run and the interviewer thinks about the rumours about the hip replacement surgeries that he refused to have. He says Prince is wearing flat soles, no heels, but that the still has the energy of an 18 year old.
After the interview he returns to the hotel. Later he gets a telephone call to come back to Paisley Park for a concert, where he gets introduced to Bria.
He plays a catchy song in the studio with the line "I love everybody and everybody loves me" in the chorus.
Then he goes into some sort of concert-hall, where Bria sits behind the mixing panel, Prince behind the piano and some back up singing ladies. He plays Come Together from The Beatles.

thanks, I wonder: What was the question about Jackson, more specific.... ? Prince 4Ever.

" Because I don't know how much time he will have for me, I throw the inevitable MJ question in the middle. Does he think it is strange, to make music now, without Michael Jackson, to whom he has been compared to for all these years? Michael the angel, Prince the little devil. Because there was a time that they, togheter with Madonna, were the greatest stars. Michael Jackson, with whom he once wanted to record an album, negotiated through Carlos Santana. "Next question", is the short reply, smiling."

Them comments are to funny, "the internet is over" "Remember when MTV was hip? And then all of a sudden it was over?" (so true) "Same for the internet." It wasn't over last year for him when he swiped money outta our bank accounts, yeah it was so over for payer tho. Prince is a little fucker, damn hes good! he hasn't changed!
If the album is any reflection on some of this interview it should be a good album, can't wait. FUNKNROLL! "February 2014, wow". 'dre.

does it really mean new whole album or maybe just some exclusive track?
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
I think it means the whole album. He did the same with Planet Earth when he started playing in London. He gave that album with The Mail on Sunday
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Actually we've already seen this artwork - it's the same artwork as on the Werchter poster!
You know, sometimes celebraties use fake stories to flush out who is leaking to the press. Maybe that's where the Androgin9 rumour came from ...
Because this artwork has been around for a few weeks already, and in the article it says that the journalist was trying to get ahold of Prince for weeks and weeks already.

"Oké, zonder het internet dan. Hij geeft zijn nieuwe cd nu weg via kranten. Hoe ziet de rest van zijn nieuwe businessmodel of zijn toekomstvisie er dan uit? Hij kijkt me recht aan, lacht breeduit en zegt: 'I could tell ya, but then I would have to kill ya.' Dan klopt hij me op de schouder en zet het op een rennen, de gang in."
Okay, without internet, then. He's giving away his new album via newspapers now. What's the rest of his new businessmodel, or vision for the future like? He looks me in the eyes, smiles broadly and says: 'I could tell ya, but then I would have to kill ya.' Then he taps me on the shoulder and makes a run for it, into the hallway.

Why is there not a thread about this album?
Is this for real? Is it really called 20Ten. That's an awful title.

What will be the release amount of the newspaper?
I.e.: how many papers will be printed for distribution with the CD?
Can I reserve a few copies somewhere? (I am Dutch if you didn't know yet ) Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
