Yes, I will go on record and say it. Prince is weird, but that's what makes him Prince. I am a huge fan, but even I was saying WTF? after reading the July Ebony interview. After reading the whole interview, I just had to shake my head and smile......it was 100% Prince! But weird is not necessarily a bad thing. If you stop and think about it, some of the most iconic musicians that I can think of are a bit weird. Michael Jackson.....Madonna......both of them (to me) are weird in their own ways. Maybe that's why they become so iconic, because they are different....not your normal, everyday, boring artist. So, when my friends tell me that Prince is strange, or weird, I just say "I know, and I love him for it!"

Yes, Prince is -normally- weird.

But if you refer to the Ebony i-view, I'd prefer saying 'Prince is a stupid and ignorant guy who thinks the rest of the people is nearly as stupid and ignorant as he is'.

I'd call P "off-center". Come to think of it, what if P never made it as an international music senstation we all know him as. I'm trippin' on the thought of him sitting at home in Minneapolis somewhere in some middle class neighborhood playing guitar in his basement and talking with his JW contemporaries. Because of P's "off-centered-ness" I am happy to say I've embraced my "odd-ball" "off-center-ness" with myself. What's also trippy is when he's making some of his music and I sit there and say to myself, "why is he tryin' to sound modern".

I know his religion has him feel compelled to sing and write about what he reads about and learns about. We all have some person in our lives who assists us to go this or that direction. I can just image P, Dez, Wendy, Lisa, Fink and Bobby "trying" to make it and this weird black dude is just pushing them to go "this direction".

Bottom-line, I agree with you, our boy is weird ... LoL
