Electric Intercourse/live When I saw this video for the second time tonight, it brought tears to my eyes, even though he may never sing this song again, looking at it made me see a beautiful man who has so much emotions he unleashes.

I'm glad that The Beautiful Ones replaced Electric Intercourse on Purple Rain, but I wish EI was at least put on a b-side. The keyboard is superb. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

It was first played in front of an audience at the benefit concert for the Minnesota Dance Company at First Avenue. The same show that the LP versions of Purple Rain, I Would Die 4 U and Baby I'm A Star were recorded sans overdubs. It was Wendy's first public outing as Revolution guitarist as well.
The show was professionally shot and is circulating. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

It is great to hear a song so many years after it was created. It totally brings me back to that time, but in a different way. The songs that were released grew with me over the years. This song is a shot in the arm of 1984! Peace...
