ha, ha. I was reminded over the weekend of a situation women (I don't know, possibley men) find themselves in from time to time and I thought about our Prince.

Reading some of the comments on this board and thinking about Prince's career and some of the "struggles" he's endured in his career; I couldn't help but to compare his circumstance to the scorned person theory.

Women, you (especially) know what I'm talking about....ever been at an event or started a new job and had someone try to talk to you (get in your world) ....and you ignore them or rebuff their advances?....what typically happens? The guy wants to call you out...( I always marvel at this because I think the "suitor" adopts a belief of.....I can't have you, I'm going to try to make you less attractive (in my [his] mind) by destroying/distorting all positive thoughts about you....) ha,ha.

In the instance of Prince it seems like there are "potential suitors" or "former suitors" perhaps people who want a piece of Prince (for whatever the reason) who feel "rebuffed" and now they've made it their aim in life to "call our Prince out".

What is this? Where does it come from? Can I get a witness on this?

I kind of get what you're saying but who has the scorned person syndrome? Are you saying Prince has it against record companies or that his detractors have it against Prince.

Orgers here defintely suffer from it.

Edit: oh I get it. You're sying others act like scorned lovers of Prince (audience, orgers, certain media persons/outlets etc etc). I agree.

I'm referring to the .Orgers and miscellaneous ghosts that come out of the woodwork each and everytime Prince makes the press....they are the "scorned suitors".

Specifically the ones on here who put down everything he does....(does not include legitimate criticisms and/or opinions)....the ones who obviously try to stir up hate amongst .Orgers (racial) or downgrade Prince's music, friends, associates, etc.
