NeYo was the only one who did a decent performance at the first tribute...I agree they should have chosen him this time. I bet this was Jermaine's dumb idea.
Oh well, it was going good for a while there.
They were probably trying to give Chris a chance to revive his career, but Neyo or Omarion would have definitely been a better choice. Once again, BET messes up with the choices. When the audience realized it was Chris, there wasn't much of a warm welcome from what I heard from my tv. What BET needs to do is have a separate show for an MJ tribute, they can't possibly do it right on this particular program.
Even ol greasy Jermaine held himself together enough to sing at the funeral and MJ was his brother.
I guess BET will have to keep doing MJ tributes till they get it right,
The first part was pretty good till it fell apart. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise. |

He obviously did not deserve the chance. How does a young woman beater get a chance like that? What kind of example is that for young blacks in that demographic and what does it say about the reprecussions of beating the shit out of a black woman? BET continues is assualt on black values and got what it deserved on this one - or maybe it can be exploited for ratings at Brown's expense. |

Exactly. I am shocked they just didn't ask Omarion to do it. He would have been perfect for the part. I'm getting tired of the rap crap, and haven't seen any real musicians, other than Alicia, so far. Geez. Thanks goodness some of our older artists are still around. |

Did you try the second link I posted? http://www.djarthurking.com/
Just press yes when it asks join his Facebook group, then minimize the window that comes up. Unfrotunately, I'm at a place that doesn't have BET, so I have to settle for this. |

Yes, the show ends at 11pm and then there's the post-show, which Diddy will host. The tribute to Prince is about to happen. Let's hope it goes right. |

They just announced it; he's coming up next. He always seems to come on at the very end or the very beginning of these shows. Probably so he can make a quick getaway. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you. |

this whole thing is a shame so far. There are so many talented musicians out there, and instead this is a tribute to autotuning and screamed lyrics. They need to let some TALENT school these other artists. Is this the BET awards or the hip hop flavor of the day awards? open yo mind, the entire universe you'll find

Most Hop Hip is bad nowadays but please don't group every hip hop song as mess because it's not. |

I have the feeling that Chaka is going to be the one to present Prince with his award. Either Chaka or Patti Labelle will probably do the honors. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you. |

I went into this show with a positive open mind and attitude but so far it has not been very good.
The Drake kid was terrible. Alicia Keys was good. but this has been a terrible show so far. |

She is. It was posted a couple of pages ago, early this afternoon from her twitter page. She twittered she was on her way from Amsterdam to present the award to "Brother Prince". |

Sad to say, but you're right...
All the artists are asking where's Prince. I bet they never expected that he would not sit in the audience. I bet it was because he didn't want to listen to all the cussing from the rappers. |
