I just fiished listening to this song again (for like the hundredth time) and I gotta say it is one of Prince's GREATEST live performances and guitar solo's ever!! What do you guys think?

Just My Imagination is simply awesome. The first time a friend let me copy the cassette and I listened to it I had goosebumps, I still do to this day. The choppy funky lick start, the delicate falsetto vocals, you know he is going to let rip and the solo is pure Prince "soul-guitar".

I don't care if he is or is not the "best" guitar player, or who is better than him, or whether he is technically able to play certain things. He played this and it send shivers down my spine every time.

The sound quality is high, the music is pretty shady at points. Some of the keyboard stuff Prince gets up to is terrible, messing about with dodgy presets that completely blow the soundboard. I love a good loose performance, but some of this is a bit lame.

Having said that, Just My Imagination is great.

The buildup is orgasmic. A truely well built song, he's made the best version hands down.

Saw him play it at the aftershow at the Warfield during the LOVESEXY tour in the states. At least for me the reason I dig it so much as it has a Purple Rain era sound to it. I have to admit that one of the highlights of the show was that he came out to open the show in a purple trench coat......classic PRINCE.....chilli sauce!!!!!

Nightclubbing was the first bootleg CD I bought; back when it originally "came out." Mine was a brown ugly cover. Only later did I find out about Small Club and picked that up.

I used to really not like People Without, then I actually listened to it all the way through. Before that I used to get bored and skip it!!
