Poor Prince. He can't go anywhere these days without a string of tweets popping up and outing his whereabouts. (Including, um, ours.) About 20 minutes before Janelle Monae started her set last night at the Varsity, a pair of security guards quickly ushered Prince out of a white limo and through a side door of the theater, bringing him upstairs into the roped-off new balcony of the venue to sit a small candle-lit table.

They're working this connection aren't they.

Not that's getting either of them much press, but I suppose it's good for them both any way, but when does turning up with troop of heavies and a limo composite a low-key entrance?

If I were rich man living in the US like Prince, I'd be going to a Janelle Monae concert too. She's great! Love her stuff.

As long as she keeps doing her own thing, with maybe a collaboration (duet) with Prince, she'll be OK. Let's hope he does not produce her in any way.

That report was back in April. I thought from the thread title it was more recent, but oh well.

I love that he's such a fan of hers. She's awesome. He still has great taste in music, that's for sure.

indeed, get it now. if only because she's been mentioned a few times in the

same breath as prince and if prince should write a song for her, you know,

the prince curse will get her and her cd will be out of print faster than you
