Hmmm. I honestly can't speak to personal hopes for Prince, because we're not acquainted. I suppose I'd want for him what I'd want for any human being: To accomplish the misson set forth by the God who sent him here.

I don't have hopes for Prince's future. Prince will do what he wants, as anyone in the world does what they want. I can hope for the sky to be purple on June 7 every year, but that probably won't happen. I'll just keep checking out the music, side-stepping those pesky business ventures of his, and what not.

I mean, to hope he stays healthy and learns stuff - that's kind of everyone, isn't it? We're all in life to learn lessons, grow as people, gain knowledge, forge friendships, fight for what we believe is right, and try not to drag anyone down in the process. We'll slip and fall at that sometimes, as will Prince, and Bob in Florida, or Jane in Seattle.

I have no higher hopes for Prince than I have for myself or anyone else. Prince doesn't deserve higher hopes from me than I have for myself. I'm #1 in my book. We all should be, right? The #1 guy in Prince's book is Prince. The #1 person in your life is you. Ultimately we all have to take care of ourselves before we're any good to worry about someone else.

Perhaps if we spent less time worry about others and what they do or say, and focus on the man in the mirror, this world would be kick ass. Of course I wish Prince, and you, and myself, and anyone else here the best in life.

best thing i've ever seen you write, imo. and thanks, i wish you all the best also. nice rap ernest.

my hopes for prince's future is to just to do what ever makes him happy biggrin

like his song says "i wish you heaven " i wish him heaven angel

but my selfish hopes for prince are lol :

i wish he would make a official website dedicated to his music throughout the years and keep fans updated with news , and maybe have monthly chat sessions with fans

i wish he would release some more music biggrin

i dont want him to release songs from the vault in his lifetime , wait until he goes to heaven and then release the vault

i REALLY REALLY wish prince would write an autobiography biggrin biggrin
This would make pickles very happy ( not sure if this is ever gonna happen though lol )

That really would be nice. Maybe even tell his side on what was going on in his life when he wrote some of the key songs as well as some of his woes with the music industry and family members. I would also love 2 know how he "splurged" when he got his first "big" check. How did he handle the new-found "family" members? I don't think some of these have ever been addressed.

i second that e-motion. wonder why he hasnt doesnt it yet. maybe he feels like his songs are his autobiography.

My hope is to see and hear a killer album - maybe not a SOTT part II - but then maybe a Gold Experience part II. In other words I hope Prince's future will have a happy ending. The next 12 years - or so - should be bright, including a few more album masterpieces.

Like most people on this site, I don't know Prince personally. His music, however, has enriched my life so much that I consider Prince a friend. Like any friend, I just want him to be happy. I'm sure being a rock god has many perks, but it also seems like it could be a lonely life too. During Emancipation, he really seemed to be in love with Mayte and impending fatherhood. Those songs were so full of love and wisdom. It always seemed kinda sad how it ended. He seemed to be in a great place then. I'd like to see him in that place again.

yeah, certainly none of us here knows what his life has really been like for him, in many ways, far more challenging than any of us have had to go through, but i guess in other ways, his life has been rather charmed as well. i'm with you. personal happiness is high on the list of all of our priorities. guess it just depends on how it is achieved.

think i read in the thread about the ebony article that he said 'self-interest is on the backburner for now', but i wonder how long 'love' will stay on the back-burner for, maybe it will come to him when he least expects it.

Just that he's healthy, happy and continues making the kind of music he wants. Whatever moves him. smile

I wish him the best that life has to offer (if he hasn't had it already wink ). Hope he continues to do what he loves, and continues to be happy and healthy.

I also hope he finds a woman that loves him, he loves her, both get married, and give parenthood another shot. I think he deserves stability and the love of a good lady. And he obviously loves children.....picture perfect. touched

But hey, if bachelorhood is the way he wants to go....great. All of woman famdom rejoice. razz lol

My hopes would be that he stopped being a money-hungry prick and that he left that fucking sect.

Not the slightly chance of either thing happening.

And, of course, that he got back to making good music AGAIN. But that seems even more difficult.

maybe all we can do is make sure we're never tempted by money or religion to that degree, at least that's what i tell myself about issues like that. i guess it's his choice in the end, but i totally hear you.

imo, chances of him finding genuine lasting love are pretty slim as long as he's prepared to settle for less and satisfy his immediate needs.

you have to sacrifice a thousand loves, to bring one whole heart home.

nonetheless, wishing him all the best.
