Lotusflow3r/MPLSound on vinyl

I just got my copy of Lotusflow3r/MPLSound on 2xLP today!!

I almost bought it from an online record store in France for $70 but I held out.

Lucky I did cuz I got in on eBay for $30!!

Haven't dropped a needle on it to hear that warm vinyl sound yet, but it looks sweet.

There's a small double sided poster inside with the covers to the 2 albums...

YES! I opened it, GASP!

For those youngsters who weren't around when vinyl was common:

NEVER leave your record albums (or 12" singles, for that matter) in the shrinkwrap!

Over time the shrinkwrap... SHRINKS.

This causes the corners of the album cover to bend.

The only reason to leave a record in shrinkwrap is if you plan to resale it for a profit,

and then, only if you plan to sell it within a year or so.

If you plan on keeping it forever, or at least a few decades,

then remove the shrinkwrap and purchase some plastic album sleeves.

They're kind of similar to what you see comic collectors storing their comics in.

Anyway, I have some questions for the resident experts:

How many copies of this LP were printed?

Was it only printed in France?

How does the print run compare to Rainbow Children? More? Less?

Thanks in advance for any info on this...

The Lotus/Mplsound vinyl is limited to only 2000 copies worldwide and was only issued in France.

There is a single vinyl edition of Mplsound only, but i do not know of the quantity of this release, it too is a French release.

I have no idea how many copies of The Rainbow Children were released, but i know it fetches mega money in mint condition.

i do not know how many they printed but for sure much more than TRC. i think they pressed 1500 copies of TRC!

Yes LF vinyl was only printet in france.

LF vinyl is still available. every recordstore in europe can still purchase it thrue bertus. bertus is an independent distribution company from the netherlands - ask your local recordstore about them.

the price should not be more than 20 €

Thanks to both of you for your quick answers.

Dollar value isn't real important to me as I don't plan on selling,

(I haven't sold my Rainbow Children, even when prices peaked)

but, it is nice to know where it ranks as far as it's rarity.

Were any of these officially released on lp?:

Musicology

3121

Planet Earth

Ultimate Prince
