Who thinks he will....

Who thinks Prince will top the billboards for the 5 album in a row?

Musicology, 3121, Planet earth, Lotus Flow3r.......?

Id love to see this happen..but more importantly, Id love to see it stick around in the top 10 for a while.

Ive heard very few bad reviews of Lotus, so you guys think that will help his follow up album end up in the top 3 on the Billboard?

Well if by being #1, the last #1 album on the US Billboard chart was 3121. Musicology was #3, Planet Earth was #2, and Lotus was #2. The Rainbow Children didn't even crack the top 100 (nor had any certification for Gold). Planet Earth and Lotus didn't even make Gold status yet either. 3121 was Gold, and Musicology was Platinum, but we know what tomfoolery made that happened.

He was near the top though, but he wasn't quite the king.

We'll see when there's actually an album out though. God knows what that will be, but there are rumblings of it being released with different newspapers. If that's his idea, he would have been smarter to just put it in Ebony, or strike another deal with Target.

But didnt Musicology sell a million even without the freebies? I may be wrong.

As far as Rainbow children, I wasnt including that one in my count. Just Musicology through Lotus. Rainbow children couldnt even go copper, much less gold or platinum.

I dont expect him to score a debut at number 1 again, nor a "climb" to number 1. Would be nice to see another debut within the top 3 though.

The hard headed purple one could probably be a major force on the billboards with the help of a major record deal. But thats another topic.

Should be interesting to see where the next album lands on the charts.
