I don't understand why some of you have to be so mean. I thought the org was a place where Prince fans can come together and just be Prince fans.

I get excited when I hear Prince music on the radio because it doesn't get played as often as it should. And when he does get some airplay, it's always either Kiss or When Doves Cry.

Stop being so damn hostile to those who just wanna share their love for Prince. There's no need to be assholes because you ain't shit!

I dont know if its an age thing? Maybe some of you feel youve been alive for so long (lol) that youve obviously entered many shops or been around long enough through decades to hear Princes music everywhere (??) and lost your enthusiasm?

''BULLSHIT''

''AGEIST''!

ok THANKS ...so why are you so mean? lool

THIS IS A PRINCE FAN SITE, preach liberation and diversity elsewhere.

Anyway, I heard Alphabet St. at a shop today and got so excited biggrin (let the bitching begin)

vitriol

Seems that some of us have a totally different concept about what a Prince fan is.

I had to say this. Some of you posters are the dumbest, rudest morons this side of heaven. Looking at you vitriol.

You must be insignificant in real life so you try to e-bully someone? Really, that's what you do?

If you didn't have anything to contribute to this post then KEEP IT MOVING. mad

That person wanted to share her experience and you had to crap on it?

This is a place to share what you feel about the artist.

When I registered I didn't see anything in forum rules stating we had to get permission from any of you (side eying you again vitriol) on what's important enough to use space.

Yes we do have different opinions on what a fan is.

Having said that, all of you dumb azzes that had something negative to say to the OP, kick rocks.

To the op, thanks for sharing your story.

Tis all

White, Black, Puerto Rican, everybody just a freakin....

Well, instead of opening myself up to more vitriolic responses...I'll just state here that I heard "Poplife" at Amoeba Records...and then I received a gift in the mail of Prince's 12 inch singles on CD so...that is my cool Prince moment of the day and I'm happy about it! cool

Seems like some of us are diluded with the insecure ideology that Prince only has one type of fan..

wow! you get on some of us for razzing a post but yet you call us names? Seems that if someone wanted to really want us all to get along then they would find a more diplomatic way to state their displeasure over how some of us responded.

I was crossing the State line listening to MPR (Minnesota Public Radio) when they played 'Funky Town' Something was said about the muscians wanting to leave Minnesota for the funky sound.

Then in the next breath they said it was the same year that Prince showcased Purple Rain and the Minneapolis Sound music headbang guitar

I just had MY Prince moment. Lemme just say this barely happens so I can sympathize with the OP's post.

I was sitting in Montana's on the patio when I Would Die 4 U started playing. The people I was with don't get the Prince thing I have so I couldn't point it out, or they'd care less.

I'm just sitting there with a big grin on my face. It definately made my night.

Thought I'd like to share biggrin
