Yes coz we usually only see him from a distance with make up and the pics that are taken of him for his projects are extremely photoshopped.

He looks like an OAP in that pic

That photo certainly shows he's not 25 anymore, which I suppose can be a bit jarring so some who haven't realized aging happens to EVERYBODY..it's unavoidable.

I like that photo because he looks very REAL and he looks happy, like he's enjoying the music and is just glad to be there.

And his eyes are probably the reason why he wears black glasses so often.

I truly believed he'd had an eye job last year because he started wearing shades EVERYWHERE, ALL THE TIME, and then when he had them off it looked (to me) like his eyes were tighter and more refreshed.

After seeing the above pic and a few prior, I no longer think had an eye job at any point, so I publicly retract my erroneous opinion/assumption of last year.

Some of you are *bleep* or just very young and dont know what OLD really looks like. Prince doesn't look OLD here, he looks great. Definitely not someone who is about to be 52.

I realize that we all "know" we are constantly aging. Duh. But some who poet here are quite young. Are you telling me that when you were 18, 19, 20, that you thought about, in a concrete way, about what aging really means or entails? If you did, you were an exception to the usual at that age, where people mostly feel indestructible, don't typically think about or consider realistically the future (or growing old), or what will happen to their bodies in 20+ years time. Heck, I am in my early 40s and my friends and I are constantly amazed at the fact WE ARE GETTING OLD at the little unexpected changes our bodies are making, or are a bit shocked when we look in the mirror and see those lines and wrinkles appearing on our faces! Also, add in that others who come here view Prince as some kind of deity or untouchable being who is not affected by such things as gravity and illness and other human conditions, and yeah....seeing that picture and the visible effects of 52 years of life on their icon CAN be jarring to those types.

What does 52 look like and is 52 old? u see people in there 30s and they look haggered and aged and then u get people in there 50s and look fantastic. Prince does look good. I'm glad he didnt go down that facelift route like a lot of them celebs. Look at people like Madonna and Michael Douglas etc there faces don't look right, they look like theyve got the back of there heads stuck in a vacumn, and it hasn't made them look younger either from the surgery just weird.

I find it really refreshing to see "Prince: the man", as opposed to "Prince: the mannequin" that we always get subjected to in promo images that have been photoshopped to death (I wish they would lay off the "liquify" and "gaussian blur" effects - even if just for a little bit...)

Prince just doesn't have any make-up on and it's not from a flattering angle. Pictures should not be taken from an upward angle (this tends to create a wrinkle/droopy face-no matter the age: pic taking 101 people)-that being said that shirt is super fly.

I think its great we see him without makeup. This is a good sign.

Even though he lives and breathes in an entertainment environment that has made over the top make-up and costumes commonplace, it was still heartbreaking to see a man in his 50's still playing a game that at his age only made him come off as a fool.

Its healthy to accept aging and accept that we all go there eventually.

I work will a lot of really intelligent wealthy older people, but its heartbreaking to see the ones with awful toupees and whacked out plastic surgeries be mocked behind their back by staff and everyone else.

As long as we all do our best to stay healthy, including our mind, what more could we want or hope for.
