Seriously? That is one of the single worst pieces of music Billy Corgan ever had anything to do with. lol Just my opinion, of course. Also, I'm a HUGE Corgan/Pumpkins/Zwan fan. Seen the dude live so many times I lost count. But I think a pretty large portion of his lyrics are absolute crap. I just like the emotional vibe I get from his music.

Oh, uhh, songs Prince wishes he wrote... ummm.... the ones he's covered in his live show, I would imagine. Sly and Larry stuff for sure. Jimi, etc. I'm not sure he considers much to be worthy, though, honestly.

I'd say In the Closet by MJ
Like a prayer by madonna
This womans work by kate bush
Simply beautiful by al green
Hallelujah by whoever
April usually brings showers
This time it was a hurtin' kind
This woman said she wanted my baby
I told her I'd have 2 be deaf, dumb, and blind

That's why I mentioned it of course wink
However, I don't think it's a dreadful song at all; it just goes on a little long...

yes hallelujah is by leonard cohen and prince could learn a lot lyrically from leonard .. his lyrics make prince sound like an adolescent metal head ... i wish american idol would stop letting contestants butcher that song ... ughh!

I vote dreadful and too long.

It did a lot of good at the time, though. Can't hate on that. But I never liked the song.

I always pictured him in concert singing

Wilson Pickett's

"Mustang Sally"

hence,

"Little Red Corvette"

I gotta go now...I have a life, why am reading this stuff?

Uhmm...didn't Prince collaborate on that or something? I thought that Like A Prayer was created in the aftermath of his short-lived association with Madonna.

Think again. He resang the "make a better day" part in "Alphabet St."
