Songs u KNOW Prince loves to play I'm currently listening to a show from 1990 and I noticed that P has certain songs that he has included in so many of his tours over the years.
Controversy Take Me With U Purple Rain It seems like no matter what incarnation of band he gets, they all play these songs at some point. Any other songs that he performs regularly? **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

I saw one of the 3121 shows in Vegas and he was playing the opening chords to Purple Rain and then walked over the mic and said "Man, I love this song". Chills.

I would have said "Kiss" also, but he avoided "Kiss" during the ONA tour. I don't remember him reviving "Kiss" until he was preparing for the Musicology tour. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

He also performed Controversy during the ONA tour (more toward the end, though). He released a recording of it from the Hawaii show. I also remember him performing it during some of the 21 nights shows. BTW, I'm wasn't he didn't perform "Kiss", To me, it seems like "Kiss" is a song he performs because he has to. It's also one of the few songs he is constantly changing. That's just my opinion, not a right or wrong thing. **--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••--**--••**--••-

Up until 2006 he LOVED to play THE RIDE.I liken it to Jimi Hendrix and his RED HOUSE.Jimi played that blues classic practically every concert of his career.Just looking at the set lists from PRINCE'S concerts since 2006 I think the last time he played THE RIDE was in NYC at the KEY CLUB I think.

I don't even think he played in Hawaii on that tour. Prince released a Live in Hawaii boxed set via the NPGMC. It contained the cd single for "Controversy" as well as a photo book of the show. It was $100. He also sold it as a digital release via the NPGMC. The Hawaii show was played around the time the ONA tour was ending/over and the Musicology tour was beginning. "Prince in Hawaii: An Intimate Portrait of an Artist" featuring photography by Afshin Shahidi, was published by the NPG Music Club in 2004. The book chronicled Prince while in Hawaii for two concerts in December 2003. Also a "Prince in Hawaii Gift Box" was sold for $100, exclusively through the NPG Music Club. It included the book, an exclusive CD single - "Controversy (Live in Hawaii)", a 2003 tour program, a NPG child poster, t-shirt and incense, all packaged in a purple hat box. He always seems to love playing Alphabet Street, although he doesn't play it so often, and when he does it's odd versions... but you can tell he loves surprising the crowd with it.
Kiss, obviously Controversy and Mutiny Trying to think of others....
