Best this, best that....... ...what is the worst or most boring Prince concert that you know?
My choice is the Nighttown 1998 aftershow, pretty boring for what you expect of it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Should have been there! I was, and it was great. I understand what you mean though, because Prince playing a cowbell to an instrumental jam for the last ten minutes of the show isn't that great on a boot, but great if you're there. Guess that goes for Nighttown as well. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I like the sentiment, I tried a "second best" thread a while back and it died in hours.
Worst concert I attended was stuck at the back of Wembley arena for Gold tour, other two nights were awsome though. Marquee - I THINK NOT, I very nearly pissed my pants when SOTT started. Awsome gig, even though my fiancé spent most of the song tending to guy that passed out. PS hope said guy recovered alright.

The first celebration concert at the Excel Center in 2001 was about the worst Prince concert I've ever been to.
The sound was flat, P seemed uninspired, he had to remind Rhonda what mic to sing into, no encore, just sucked the big one. I think the whole arena did a collective "huh?" when the lights came up. He made up for it the following night with a fantastic performance on piano(although the sound was still flat, it was slightly better than the previous night). that wuz my 1st concert of p's i've been 2, and i gotta agree...it indeed did suck big wind. not only cuz of the performance itself, but the atmosphere--i don't like super-huge crowds (might be why i prefer paisley parties), plus folks were smokin in the dang arena, and there wuz this couple in front of me who kept makin out durin the entire show.... He made up for it the following night with a fantastic performance on piano(although the sound was still flat, it was slightly better than the previous night).
the little ketchuphead did "bambi" that nite, 2!! i'm still kinna peeved that he didn't do anything that cool the nite before... edits away! [This message was edited Thu Jan 23 9:56:56 PST 2003 by Handclapsfingasnapz]

The concert for the first celebration at the Northrup, the concerts at the xcel energy center for the second celebration and The Mill City Music Festival all were really bad. In case you are unaware these were all hometown shows and for the general public. This probably has something to do with the fact that when he tried to sell two shows for the third celebration at the Orpheum NO ONE bought tickets and they were cancelled.
The Xcel energy center show was so bad that the general public was talking about what a bad performance that Prince put on. I bet I was asked by about 50 different people if it was as bad as they had heard and I was forced to say yes. Also, there was a string of shows at Paisley in 2000 where there was no bass player and he kept letting DVS rap that were just brutal.

The Mill City Festival was the first time I was in MN.and I loved this show. I have seen Prince 31 times in 5 years and I have never been to a "bad" show, there have been some I liked better than others but a bad Prince show?,never.

Worst: some aftershow in SF where he did 1 or 2 songs for a total of 20 minutes & left...
Best: Honestly, I think the best is yet to come! But in the meantime, I'll choose ONA Oakland, Paramount Theater...
