I actually like the song even though I don't really consider it a great song or anything. I doubt Prince is really taking himself very seriously in it. It's fun.

Whatever its meaning or intent I`ve always thought it was lame.

It means his mind is adult (full of good intentions) but his mouth (a metaphor for his entire body) is childish (full of candy). He wants to do the right thing but is impetuous, like a child. The beginning of the verse:

And if your heartbeat goes up a notch or two
There ain't no tellin' what I might do.

I think it means he has ideas but won't speak them because his mouth is busy doing other things. Also anybody remember the candy called Mr. Goodbar? It was chocolate with peanuts. Yum ha ha.

I just think its too good of a line for such a bad song.

It means Raisinettes are delish.

I remember when raisinettes came in lil boxes, that opened at the side - do they still do that - u could kinda shake them into Ur mouth during a movie.
