The entire album was good.

It would have been terrific if the sequence was

Diamonds & Pearls
prince
The Gold Experience

instead of the lackluster releases that followed prince

.

There was only The Hits and Come in between, both of which are essential, I love come bar the title track and orgasm, i have burnt it again using the Beautiful Experience version Of come, Poem and the versions of the tracks that don't have the poem bits attached to it, it's a much better album.

cool

It was very nearly a single, and would've featured an edit of the first half
of the song on the A-Side, and the second half on the B-Side (credited as "Tell
Me How U Wanna B Done"). There were remixes made for the 12"/Maxi-single.

It was due to be the follow-up single to '7' & 'Damn U'. But for some reason it
was scrapped and 'The Morning Papers' was eventually released instead.

Didn't Carmen Electra havew some reservations about the video made for the track? That may have played into it not becoming a single. There was a note on Crystal Ball about a video being released upon clearance of Carmen's conscience.
When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

The full video of The Continental was aired the night before the Ryde Divine special and Carmen was in it. I think he was referring to the Glam Slam Ulysses video on the Crystal Ball liner notes.

Its a decent enough track. I think i've sorta grown tired of it though, probably have heard it too often.

What a shame."The Continental" would have been a perfect single! By contrast,"The Morning Papers" is a lackluster rock ballad that went nowhere.

I loved "The Morning Papers". My belief is that it's totally about him and Mayte. So many lines can be related to her at the time. It was a good little video too. However, you're also right in that "The Continental" (edited to the radio-friendly 3 minute version) would have been a decent single as well.

Personally, I think that CONTINENTAL should have been the lead single from the Symbol album
