Mutiny vs High Fashion - if you could only choose one! I see these two as almost two halves of the same song, as they are often performed back to back (and sequenced that way on the Family album), and I think they are both Minneapolis masterpieces. But which would you choose, if you had to ditch one?
I think I'd have to ditch High Fashion...(just the thought made me feel sick)...if only because Mutiny has a slightly more interesting melody and chorus. High Fashion basically keeps the same melody in the chorus as the verses. Two top tracks! Take it - like Clarence said:

Right? We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

One example would be the Truth live in Minneapolis 31-05-07. Take it - like Clarence said:

"MUTINY" all the way. Prince's version, of course.

Am I the only one that thinks Mutiny is the weak spot on The Family LP? The whole album is like a ride on a unicorn while being fed grapes by a naked Pam Grier, but that song is my least favorite. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Yes. You're the only one. Mutiny is like a ride on a unicorn while being fed grapes by a naked Pam Grier. River Runs Dry is not. Neither is NC2U. But they are only one notch below. Best side-group album IMHO. Jill Jones comes close, but there are a couple of weak tracks. But I looooove your analogy. Take it - like Clarence said:

Hey! I just checked out your version of Mutiny on myspace! Great job, keeps integrity but it's your own interpretation. Loved it. Congrats! I've heard a lot of shit Prince covers in my time. Take it - like Clarence said:
