While I also love these extendedversions, I think the shorter cuts work in the context of the album, especially computer blue. The longer versions give the die hard fans an extra treasure to hunt!

i'd love to see an extended version of the album with the original uncut versions. WOW! it would be amazing.

It may have to be a double cd!!!!

Possibly Prince could do this without WB as they would be different versions

I probably have it but do not remember what it sounds like.....I remember there was a version connected to the extended Computer Blue..but it did not sound any different other than him using his Jamie Starr voice at the end...

The editing was down to Prince continuing to work on the album's contents. As tracks were added/removed other tracks were edited to make room, nothing to do with Warners at all.
