Did anyone notice that the break in "Baby" where he sings "We'll grow stronger every day" sounds like the same one used in I Hate U?

Indeed it does, the 2 songs so share some other musical elements too. Good spot. wink
Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

Good lord.
Maybe I should stay out of here today, if this is the stuff that's going on in here.

biggrin I hate u was a great slow tune because you knew it had a reference to a particular situation and seemed almost personalised! I suppose you could relate to it a bit if you were in a certain similar situation but it was more unique to his other slow ballads because of some of the lyrics! The court room ones in particular thumbs up!

Fucking genius!
"Your honor may I call to the stand my one and only witness ... I know what you did, where you did it and who you did it with, so you might as well plead guilty cause you sure can't plead the fifth." lol

It's definitely one of his greatest songs. And it's one of the few songs out there that gets even better in the latter half. The court room fantasy is perhaps his greatest moment ever; the way he sings and the atmosphere.

Agree! The song builts up very nicely.
I believe that sex is a beautiful thing between two people. Between five, it's fantastic.

This song spoke to me as a sixteen year old when it came out in 95, I had just broke up with my girl and this song is exactly how I felt about her at that time.

I don't think Prince was messing with O.J. he actually supported him during the trial. He even went as far as moving back to Mnpls. from Cali stating that he didn't want to be the target of their crooked cops next.

I LOVE this song. I listen to it over and over. The arrangements and lyrics are killer. And P's delivery during the "court" part of the song. Dope.
