Bootleg Question I recently found a couple of peculiar bootlegs that I wonder if anyone has information on.
They've been "remastered and mixed" by Omaran and the artwork (I use that term loosely) is by DJ Jazz. They're taken the precaution of attempting a "copyright" for their "work". It's on NPR Records. (Who knew public access had a record company? ) Prince - The Live Purple Funk Box (artwork is made by recent Lotusflow3r related appearances) 1. Xenophobia 2. 1+1+1=3 3. Peach 4. U Gotta Shake Something 5. The War 6. Days of Wild Prince - The Palace Ones (artwork is old Lovesexy stuff) Tracklist cd1/cd2 (Version 1 & 2): 01. Positivity 3:20 02. Lovesexy 6:08 03. Wade In The Water 1:28 04. God Is Alive 2:50 05. The Ballad Of Dorothy Parker - Four 3:44 06. Down Home Blues - Rock Me, Baby 8:57 07. Cat, Where U At ? - Cold Sweat 08. Interlude (Bytes - Bad - Prince on Guitar) 2:24 09. Just My Imagination - Noon Rendezvous 9:36 10. Superfunkycalifragisexy (Jam) 10:08 11. Instrumental Jam (Bytes - Take This Beat) Tracklist cd3: 01. Forever In My Life (The Bad Times) 5:58 02. Forever... More (The Good Times) 6:23 03. Strange Relationship 9:04 04. Just My Imagination 12:57 05. River Kwai - UTMC (Bytes) 0:51 06. Six 5:21 07. Instrumental Jam (Bytes - Dead On It - Housequake) 2:53 There are two disks, noted as "Version 1", and "Version 2". Both have the exact same track list. It was recorded at The Palace, in L.A. June 26th, 1988. Another disk was recorded Nov 11, 1988, at The Camden Palace, London. Both appear to be after shows. I've not listened to them, and they seem to be recent releases, although I suspect by the cheaper looking artwork and haphazard track listings, that they are taken from another source. Thoughts?

I have the third one. It's called "I Should Koko" and it's definitely not a new release.
"Lovesexy Tour Aftershow. Camden Palace 26th July 1988. 2008 Mad Hatter/Flaunt Records. Tweaked and Peaked by Flaunt." [Edited 5/20/10 8:18am]

it's just a bunch of rehashed stuff that was cleaned up a bit earlier by other fans and then he's compiled it together
there are two difference sources of the lovesexy show on cd1/2 that came out around the same time, which is why there is version 1 and 2 - when i say sources, i mean different recordings of the same show - ie. 2 tapers best to find the previous versions that came from the source tapes [Edited 5/20/10 9:36am]

I think Omaran is the guy who is flooding certain places with his "SIT" and "Eye C U" rehash releases, refusing to answer questions like yours. He basicly rips every existing release he gets (from the same places), no matter if it's mp3 or lossless, adds some more treble to them and converts it back to mp3.....together with new "art"work. So to answer your question: yes, I bet it was ripped from other sources. Busy doin' something close to nothing

I was wondering about these releases...I was very confused as why this is even out. ALTHOUGH...I never heard the nine minute version of Noon Rendezvous until I downloaded it .. it was heaven [Edited 5/20/10 12:23pm] Straight Jacket Funk Affair

Just a FYI, but on that date he performed an aftershow in San Francisco... http://www.princevault.co...r,_1988-am 4DaFunk released two decent recordings of it on Take The "W" Train and Take The Other "W" Train. It's one of my favorite aftershows.

They are improvements over all other titles available around the world. Busy doin' something close to nothing

They are improvements over all other titles available around the world. What a total self-important douchebag. I've already deleted the files. I just can't be bothered with them.
