How many orgers remember Hammer's site and especially the endless chat sessions we used to have WAY BACK THEN!!

I remember the Hammer days....silly ass boy floating on the balloon.

And I remember the Hammer poster named Despot who started his own message board once Hammer got fed up with Prince.

But Despot's board only lasted a short time.

I remember "B" from the message board. She was really cool.

Hammer's site was the first website I ever used, never mind just Prince related! (I think I asked someone's assistance on how to search for websites beforehand). This would have been sometime in '95 or '96.

I remember finding the chatroom a surreal experience as no one talked about Prince and it was very hard to parachute into a conversation.

I was 'Ellis' on there.

I remember that, and I remember the Emancipation news letter, subtitled "An Experiment in Truth". I had one article published on that one.

Hammer was one of the very first, if not the first, to talk about Prince stealing the alchemy symbol for soapstone, and using it as part of his own:

ha, remember it well.

I just missed the "Hammer" days.

In fact, for the LONGEST time I thought Hammer was in reference to M.C. Hammer.

Wow!!! I remember that. It was around 1996 when I was really getting into the net and when there were a gazillion Prince sites.

I was going to Cal State Fullerton, in the old AND new labs...lol...

wow...that was a long time ago...
