Great album!
Both for work out and relaxation.
I even love the Joan Osborne & Bonnie Raitt cover songs(despite how many feel about them here), hell, I'm not a fan of most of his cover songs, but I dug these.
You could feel that he invested so much into this project, despite how dated some of the songs sounded. I'll say this, ALL of the album's B-Sides/Outtakes/Whatevs should've replaced some of the songs in the album, but overall, its def a great listen.

HIStory is not really comparable to Emancipation, since 1/2 of it is a greatest hits disc. It's more comparable to The Hits/B-Sides, which blows it away by a mile.

I've really been getting into this album recently. I have a new appreciation for it. I used to just dismiss it (except for "Somebody's Somebody" ) Now I really like it. There's so much material on it, and most of it's really good.
I love Sleep Around, In This Bed I Scream, Emale, My Computer, Face Down, One Kiss at a Time, Sex in the Summer, etc.
How can I stand 2 stay where I am? / Poor butterfly who don't understand.

One thing that stands out to me on Emancipation is a sense of humanity that has largely been missing from more recent works. Not only does Prince seem emotionally invested in every song, but the topics themselves vary from love, happiness, vulnerability, loneliness, and at times anger.
