I assume that you are talking about this quote concerning Prince: It seems you’ve gained some famous fans. Can you talk about the experience of hanging out with Prince at his Paisley Park studio? He is a definitely a huge supporter of what I do. I shared with him The ArchAndroid and he loved it. He has given me lots of advice. He is even encouraging everybody to go and get ArchAndroid because he was moved and touched by it. It’s very inspiring just to watch him. I heard his new album and its really going to be great. The answer to your question is--Yes, Monae's comments concerning Prince's "new album" have been discussed on the org. There is an entire thread on Janelle Monae on "the other artists" part of the forum. I hope what she says is true! In the meantime, I've ordered her album "ArchAndroid!" Can't wait!  | |

I hope is new album is great.
But, I've heard hoopla over his forthcoming 'great' albums since Rave Un2/In2. Musicology was supposed to be something he was very proud of and they worked hard on, 3121 was suppose to be fierce, etc. etc. And I really like some of his post-TRC albums, but what I think people tend to do with reports like this is latch on to the "great" or "really good" proclamations by others and somehow translate that to a work that could knock SOTT off it's lofty perch. I have nothing to base what the new album on accept that Prince is probably trying some new things as always, and that Cause and Effect is a tune I"ve heard a dozen times and still can't remember what the tune sounded like. .
