Fine Line Café 1987 I love that s***!!! Amazing jam session!!!
No better copy available than this terrible sounding one (the one i have has a Madhouse opening act as bonus tracks)? Thanks for the info ^^ A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

Unfortunately not. One of my favorite aftershow type gigs(even though it's not an aftershow). It Should really be looked at as a Madhouse gig. Great show. The 25 minute performance of "11" just sick. The tracklisting is still wrong though. Some of that show includes performances of unreleased songs. It also includes parts of other Madhouse material that is not listed in the existed tracklistings. I'm trying to really pick that apart and get a stronger and more conclusive tracklisting.
Peace Big Chick ps Part of it's beauty is in the quality that its in.

There's indeed an old jazz record charm in the poor sound quality but still, a crystal clear release would be much welcome if P ever decides to release this kinda stuff. Big Chick[/quote] No matter how i love it, i think the Small Club always was considered special just because of the soundboard quality, so it says a lot. The Fine Line show is just as good if not better IMO. The 1986 Paris aftershow was a killer, too, but the sound quality is even worse A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

Yep, it's a pity that neither of these 2 shows are available in better quality. The Paris show has such a blinding setlist it's screaming out for a better version to surface someday...

Small Club is great, but it really lags around the "Down Home Blues" section. Small Club's strength lies in tracks like "Rave 2 the Joy Fantastic","D.M.S.R.",'Just My Imagination" and the shows incredible centerpiece "People Without" an incredible unreleased track. To contrast New Morning Club's "Just My Imagination" is just incredible intimate( Especially with the crowd participation towards the end) and "Was it My Face" is just killer. But I guess what I mean is just because some things are in just okay quality does not mean that they should be disregarded. Fine Line Cafe 87 is a perfect example of that. Big Chick
