Which version u have? the brazil version or the remastered Canadian version? I prefer the Canada version. Anyways,I love this concert. I remember being about 6 when my grandfather took me to the mall and I saw the vhs on the shelf. I almost didnt get it cuz it didnt look like Prince to me,with the glasses and all. Highlights for me are Housequake,Hot Thing, and If i was ur gf.

I am in complete agreement that this is an amazing concert film cool
Although yes, some of it is lipsynched and rerecorded, it doesnt take away the high paced performances and dancing! Cat and Prince were meant to dance on stage forever n ever and sheila on them drums is waayyy to sexy! I have the concert on my ipod and im actually listening to it right now. Prince really stepped it up and will always be a favorite of mine.

Best performance of the concert hands down for me, goes to forever in my life wink

I'll add that Sign of the times is better than the Lovesexy concert.

lol awww im feelin a can of worms has now been opened

im just joshin...yeah i feel like the sott concert was more tight clean n funky. Whereas the props and cars and beds in the lovesexy shows took away from the effect prince and his band gave off in the sott shows.

Lovesexy was great, but this is just so damn good; very different; this is like music at its finest; Lovesexy is all show, not bad, but different.

I won a copy of this on VHS from the local newspaper when it was released on video. You had to write in with an answer to some Prince question. I can't remember what the question was now.

It all seems a bit primative now, writing into a newspaper. Now its all emails and online competitions lol

Its brilliant, as it goes non stop, no slow moments, but totally mesmerizing, the dancing, the music, the choreography, Cat' Dancing, Prince's prancing and the set along with some memorable tunes, making it a truly compelling movie. Probably his best movie, even out stripping Purple Rain, the clothes aren't so garish and we are not subjected to any wooden acting. cool
So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

I love the Sign 'O The Times film! I have both version of the DVD but prefer the Canadian disc. I HOPE that this along with Under the Cherry Moon and Graffiti Bridge will be released on BluRay. *fingers crossed*

I brought about 10-12 friends with me back in the day to see it on the big screen in Dallas. And let me tell you, it was a full house in the theater and it was a party! I remember there being a ton of Prince fans and most were singing along to the film. Great time!

Lovesexy is all show? Well, that may be, but i think the Lovesexy video is far superior to SOTT, 4 starters it is a real show with real footage, this alone sets it apart 4 me. I like SOTT very much, but if i had 2 choose.....

I make sure not to be eating or drinking anything when he looks under his jacket for the missing mic & stand. It's hilarious!

Prince is adorable!!

The SOTT live dvd is one of my all time favourite concert dvd's. I've lent it to numerous people over the years who are not Prince fans and everyone of them has come back to me saying how awesome it was and how they had no idea how much talent Prince really has.

The songs are great and the interaction with all the players is fun to watch. All the ladies are awesome and Prince is in fine form as always.

I absolutely love it biggrin I got a copy free with a newspaper, and having never heard any Prince before, gave it a listen and was amazed. I have it to thank really...

I think the highlights for me are Sign o the Times, Slow Love, I Could Never Take the Place of Ur Man, Forever in my Life and The Cross. They sound good on disc, but AMAZING live in SOTT film biggrin
