Prince - The Blitz club & Steve Strange - who knows what happened. Watched the fab play on Boy Georges early career from '78/'79 - what an amazing programme and brilliantly shows the start of the New Romantics era where a young Steve Strange and his beautiful people used Bowies inspiration at the Blitz club to start a whole new movement. So I was reading recently on the Adam ant thread that P went to this amazing club which I find mind blowing. Does anyone have any info on his experience there, when would he have gone?, was it 1 visit, what did he get up to in this den of inequity!!.
Here's a quote from Steve Strange's autobiography: Like Steve Strange saying "Prince was still following me everywhere." Yea right...we believe that. I was STUNNED when Strange attempts to say at one time, that his schedule was 'so busy'..... Lol, just had an image of P giving his coat to Boy george at the desk on entry!!.

I've always thought it curious, but hardly ever mentioned, that prince looked like a New Romantic back in the 1999 - PR days.
I didn't think he came to England during that period though [Edited 5/17/10 9:16am]

^Prince played ONE concert in the UK in 1981 (Lyceum, London - June 2nd).
After that he didn't play any European gig until the Parade Tour in 86.
