I am a big fan of this track, and it is absolutly one of my favs from the late 90s. I was not too hot on this album until this track hit... it instantly reminded me of everything I love about Prince's music and totally justified the purchase of the CD. Good stuff, and very Prince. The remixes are fun too if you can track 'em down.
It's almost like there is an "event horizon" for stupidity - once you fall below that line, you're too stupid to know you're stupid.

This song just never gets boring, does it? Does it!!

You have that genius keyboard beat. Simple but hits you in the gut. The beat itself is great. The wistful synth melody goes in and out--amazing. The Camille voice is used well. The lyrics are great. I really like the part when he makes love to his strings..lol. We all make love to those, I'd assume.

This is just a badass song. One of the top tunes of the 90s. He could learn a bit more from songs like this.

I LUV THE VIDEO 4 IT AS WELL. IT CRACKS ME UP EVERYTIME I C IT. FUNNY THING IS I JUST DISCOVERED IT LAST WEEK.THE VIDEO THAT IS.

It's awesome. The Camille voice. The keyboard riffs. The hilariously clever lyrics ("...or maybe it was your girlfriend/who's never ever been straight/when I ask u are u hungry/u say u already ate"; "i got the butter 4 your muffin/just need the keys 2 the room"). Add all that to Chaka's backing vocals and you've got classic 90s P.

Man, if it's ever been about the/a groove it's here! It grooves and it's a sexy one, doesn't get old, he even says it in the beginning of the song, somthin' 'bout doin' this or listening to this all night.

Great phrasing, fantastic delivery, I'd bet the song wrote itself from that groove.

As a matter of fact, The EP or Maxi single is just worthless if they gonna make versions or remixes with out the original groove. The Album Version is the version.

In retrospect, I've come to prefer "Come On" and a few other tracks from his late-90s output over anything that's on "Diamonds and Pearls" and "prince".

Shame about the albums not really working as records from start to finish.

Has he played this song live in the last ten years? It kind of seems like he forgot about it and I think it works better live.

Horrible. Prince standing in a park in London dressed as an old man with a watchtower magazine in his hands.
