Lol. maybe its not a orger, but maybe it is. I remember Prince answearing questions from audience members of the TRL show and a fat guy asked Prince something bootleg related and Prince said he looked like a bootlegger to him.

That lyric wasn't about him though.

it was the tube millenium in 1999, the day after the tfi friday show that prince called me a bootlegger, not TRL (total request live - on mtv). he wrote the rainbow children album about me, supposedly

pfunk was written about gav btw. the line "i hate you tall lanky bastard" is a bit of a giveaway

But it does say basket full of lies though...with the one exception at the end.

No "bastard"

Well Prince did mention the wannabies in an interview saying that non-talented peeps come up to him and say "do I look like you?" cool

Prince is obviously not fat & he's not a punk. The best medicine for these peeps is funk. In other words shake that jelly, just "shut up and dance."

I love the line though and the way he twists remed(y) to remed(ie) to rhyme.
Clever..

But as it's aimed at the fans I thought it alway meant that the best way to shut us up was with music...thus proving (to him) the hypocrysy...we'll be all anti-prince and "grrrr" whilst he's messing us about but the second he puts out a song we are suckling at his teats again

so to him we are the all-talk punks
