It would be an interesting project to marry Lovesexy and Black albums into one big freaky party. Lovesexy blew my mind when I first listened to it, all the God talk gave me shivers down to my soul. The Black album was just bad-ass. That struggle between good and evil in our soul could be the theme of this double album, much like he did with the concerts. If they are ever reissued, it should be as companion pieces but thrown together

Imagine if he had released both albums as a 2-record set in 1988 I wonder if it would have been considered a strong follow-up to SOTT.

I think Black album feels like music from SOTT leading into Lovesexy, the perfect transition. It should have been released and a double would have bee just right, a better explaination of his whole Spooky Electric Camille light & dark show. Most fans had not heard the Black album so the Lovesexy(winning out over the Black album) misses the point

The Black album and Lovesexy 2gether as a double album would have been great 2 see but, I know that would have been too much 4 the record company. I still listen 2 them 2gether. It was some really good music that came out from that era.

Quick note: During Prince's Lovesexy Tour, Prince assigned Chuck Zwicky 2 go in2 Paisley Park studios and in2 the vault 4 a special assignment of sort. He asked him 2 put mixes on some of his many previously unreleased recordings, somewhere around 130 of them.
