hey guys! so umm yeah I was listening to the song 'Cream' and its a wonderful song very sexy lol but the one lyric where he says "Look up in the air its your guitar" i was completely thrown off and i didnt understand the context with the meaning of the song and i just thought it was really random and a little bizarre anybody wanna clarify meaning???

I always thought it was a reference to his cloud guitar too.

I don't know..it's always been one of those lyrics that I never really payed attention to or tryed to find out the meaning, I just gathered the meaning of the song as a whole. Maybe he wanted to reach in the air for one when it came to making the video, which he did. Or him playing the guitar and the success he has had with it is a blessing from God ????

it's a throwaway lyric to introduce his little guitar lick that follows.

Lawd, why does every Prince lyric have to have a meaning???

Maybe he just wrote it because it sounded good.
