^ Ok, that was just one point but I really think the whole article was biased e.g. 'All celebs are not created equal. Prince was more equal ..'. Prince was there to play not sit through some boring dinner and 'schmooze'. Sounded like a boring wedding dinner that you'd fake a seizure to get out of.

Hilarious. Yes, 30+ years of behavior is in no way indicative of how he feels about these kind of things.

So does Bria have to cover her gashish in Saran Wrap when presenting it to Prince?
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Some people aren't into the whole social schmoozing thing. Im one of them... unless I've been drinking. YOu dont have to be a diva to not find pleasure in such situations.

Prince wants us to respect him but he acts like such a dipshit, then is surprised that people point fingers, among pointing daggers of critical insight.

Saran Wrap? He thinks the man will poison his food..lol You should be helping your brothers in the inner city not acting like the victim. Pay your taxes as well. Purple boob.

He was at a club. A club that (presumably) doesn't serve food at that late hour. So he had some brought in. Because he was hungry. Because he didn't eat dinner at the Time party.

If someone brings me food from a place other than where I am, I would hope it they'd cover it (with Saran Wrap or something else) for the trip.

People are making too big a deal of him having his back turned to the crowd. Musicians do it all the time, but if Prince does it, he's a tool.

Oh come on, how do you know he doesn't? None of us knows who he helps financially or what charities he's involved with, and quite frankly it's none of our business. You don't expect he'd jump on the phone and call the media to alert them of all the charities he donates to or who he has helped financially do you? rolleyes Quite frankly, the NY Post detailing how Prince received his food, and who he didn't schmooze with, must be a slow day at the NY Post. There's more important issues they could focus on and maybe they'll sell more papers.

Look, the guy just doesn't do big schmooze-fests. We know this about him.

Also, as an actor, I can tell you that the last thing I'd want to do before going onstage is to eat a heavy meal of lobster and filet mignon - even though I love both of those. Eating too much or eating the wrong thing affects the way you perform - the way you move, your voice - everything. There's also a lot of preparation (including mental preparation) that goes into performing.

I'm not surprised he'd rather hang backstage than sit at a table making small talk and refusing a meal around people who are itching to make a big deal of everything he does.

There are a lot of fans out there who would be completely happy to have a picture of his arse! One just has to peruse the photo threads around here to see that!

Some do. There are different levels of vegetarianism. Some vegetarians allow themselves fish and other seafood, some do not. Just like some vegetarians eat cheese and eggs, and some do not.

...excluding the snide comments (what the hell does "more equal" even mean?), the article seems pretty accurate regarding Prince's general behavior at events.
So he doesn't want to eat what they are serving or make small-talk with people he doesn't know or care about. Big deal.

He's a musician. He performed at the Time event, he performed at the club - in my eyes, he did his job.

We don't know P on that level and I would not trust the New York Post. We do know he is a vegen or vegetarian and I think skipping the dinner had something to do with that. We also know he went to the club to play a little bit and maybe he did not want to be late getting to the club. We just do not know all the details.

spit I've seen you try and make many excuses for Prince but even you can't possibly be that delusional to think Prince gives a damn about being late for a gig.
I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

It's a reference to George Orwell's 'Animal Farm'. It's a deluded attempt by the 'journalist' to give the article some literary credence ... but in such a trashy article it just sounds completely pretentious!
