Well, it's been awfully quiet on the homefront as far as new Prince news goes.

My guess is that we will get not only the interview slated for Ebony magazine, but also either a CD with it or official word on a new CD coming soon, including the album title.


Anyone agree that at this point, a bout of silence is almost a sure sign of new things to come?

There was some mention of a new CD during the bits of information that could be found about the upcoming concerts in Roskilde/Arras/Werchter. Wonder if Prince will continue his habit of giving out CDs at his concerts or if we'll have it a lot sooner. Would be great to to already know some of the songs if he plays them live.

I`m sure ur on point w/ ur guess since that`s the only tidbit of info we have aside from his upcoming performances & lawsuits & taxes. All we can do is wait & find out.

Of course there's a new CD coming out before the mini tour...he's a musician that's what they do..

For the first time ever with Prince, I'm really not that excited by "new content."

Of course, I'll purchase it, and if it's good, that's a bonus. But, I'm suspecting it will either suck or be another "ok" album whose shiny luster wears off quickly.

That's exactly how I feel. I remember when this Lotus Flower/MPLSound nonsense was released. I went to Target and paid only, what, $12....and I felt like I'd been ripped off. Let's hope that if there's a new album, it's a good one and one that'll be properly promoted with no irritating distractions (i.e., side projects and protegees that nobody cares about).

I think you're guaranteed at least 1 or 2 undeniable bangers off of every new Prince release. And ya know what, I'll take it because one amazing Prince track has more staying power with me than most full albums by other bands. I mean, come on, Dreamer and Dance 4 Me are so killer.

It does sound like something is brewing. Lotusflow3r for me was a success! Great music that I still enjoy. I signed for the website strictly for the concert tix in LA and the rest of what I got was all gravy! I would do it again too! Prince in the last 10-12 years has opened up big time and I am appreciative. Too much time is spent in the negative when it comes to discussing P! Let's all just chill, support what he's bumping and enjoy ourselves. MJ is gone, I take nothing for granted. Oneluv
