with a different voice, instrumentation and rhythm... every so-so track would be a good song [Edited 5/5/10 4:51am]

Oh man, This is EXACTLY the way I feel! This track could really use a makeover, and I think the Peach and Black podcast guys hit the nail right on the head, at 3:21 seconds Ol Skool = Inspector Gadget. Tracks like this are in a way more frustrating than ones that are just plain bad. Ol Skool is knocking on the door of greatness but can't quite find it's way into the house, and is basically un listen able for non orgers..... Ole Skool Company - is one my favourite recent songs, it took a while but really grew on me. I suppose you could also say the 'sped up' voice is in bits of Radical Man and 1+1+1=3

One of the most ferocious, attitude filled, slickest, hip, new-fonk trax he's done. Many, many, many peeps get hipped to that beat on the second. I got all kindsa people lovin'. I got friends who live in the rough, looking to tell their stories through MC'n that think Ol Skool is one of the maddest beats they heard in awhile (Black Sweat was another). Then i got my blues loving lady thinking its a grand piece of music and finds the hook instantly accessible. When i hear it, i'm in awe. Multi genres blended like only he can, that's called the Mplsound and it sounds fresher and badder than ever. New Mplsound. This is a direction i want Prince to elaborate on. It's Prince in his baddest form, he's mad, he's ferocious, he's making you all show your age. This Post is produced, arranged, composed and performed by WetDream

I wouldn't change a note. I'm gonna have to look for the Inspector Gadget similarity though.

There's loads of people I've played this to who love it - why you think only people round here would like it is beyond me? Doesn't that just dumb down everyone else's attitude to music? ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...
