I used to live in Alaska in the late 1990s. Lived in Anchorage, well, up Government Hill.

Sweard's a lovely city. Been there a few times myself, as with Whittier.

Had a fun time helping my old PPML friends with their Borders Books and Music "Welcome 2 The Dawn" cassette single, as well as seeing Prince and the band during the anniversary Love4OneAnother gig in "South Anchorage."

I'm in Alaska, grew up here. I don't remember Prince & the band playing south Anchorage. He was supposed to come up here in 2001 or something like that, but cancelled. That was such a let down. We had to fly all the way to Los Angeles to see him in 2004, but that was worth the trip.

"South Anchorage" as far as I know is Honolulu, Hawaii. Sorry for not being exact. I spent 52 hours in Honolulu seeing Prince, Mayte and the NPG at the Blaisdell Arena.

And yes, Prince scheduled a North American tour in 2001 right after the "June Celebration," and it included Anchorage and Fairbanks, but as quickly as the "Celebration" concert was set, he quickly scrapped tour plans and only played Columbus, Detroit, and Milwaukee before working on the One Nite Alone tour plans.
