A Million Days Love this song from "Musicology" ... It kind of sounds like music from the "Gold" era. Also, probably my favorite track from the album. I've been listening to this track a lot lately.

I like it. When I hear the song I envision Prince traveling "on the road" maybe on a train staring out of the window. Love the Musicology CD.

It's only been a hour since U left me But it feels like a million days If Eye had a magic wand eye could turn back time Eye'd never let U go away Eye didn't have the heart 2 say eye'm sorry Now eye haven't got a heart at all Eye could tolerate the pain if eye could talk 2 my best friend But U won't even call Eye'm contemplating pulling out my suitcase And packing everything eye own Eye didn't back then but eye do know now Wherever U r is home Eye'll crawl on my belly and beg U But Ur so far away U've only been gone 4 an hour But it seems like a million days It's only been a hour since U left me Eye wish eye had somebody 2 blame But Ur the perfect picture of what love should look like And eye wanna b Ur frame It's only been a hour but it feels like a million days A million days One hundred thousand million days Come home, come home baby Eye can't take this no more Well, come home baby oh yeah Baby, eye know eye shouldn't put my faith in heroes But eye can't c U any other way It's only been a hour since U left me girl Feels like a million, feels like a million days Come home baby

My ex gf who is a non prince fan heard me playing that song and loved it instantly. That song really should have been a single. I just saw the unreleased video 4 it. Damn shame he didn't market this.

Yes, a great song, great lyrics, vocals, harmonies, energy, music. Underrated.
Hard to believe this was not a single.

To me the lyrics are avg @ best, I do like the music alright, but I can't really play this one around the house as my wife despises this song.

One of the best Prince lines"Crawled on my Belly"I can just picture Him crawling on his belly-He has No belly. But the hurt makes his body sink into the ground.Great line!!!!!

This is definitely in the scrap heap for me. Unlike a lot of folks around here, I actually love big parts of the Musicology album. But this song has always seemed dull and lifeless to my ears.

Agreed. The weakest song on Musicology in my opinion.I thought seeing the video would help me change my mind (which was the case with "Call My Name". Didn't like the song until I saw the video), but this song is just torture 4 my ears.

Always seemed like he was trying too hard to rekindle the Purple Rain days with this one - woulda been great circa 84-85, but 2004 just felt dated and embarrassing to me.

Life of the Party holds that title by a LOOOOONG shot. (I would hang the torture label on that song six days a week and twice on Sunday). Almost everything else on the album ranges from OK (songs like Marrying Kind) to absolutely great (What Do You Want Me To Do).

Wow! With laughable songs like Life o the party, and songs that get old with repeat listens(Dear Mr. Man, Musicology, On The Couch), Hard to believe someone could compare one of the 3 best on Musicology to torture. (I checked an online Thesaurs, and the actual meaning of torture is Tony M, confirmed.) (Reflection and Call My Name being the other gems.) Next thing you know, someone will be telling me Jughead is the best track on DAP, or that Tony M is their favorite. Well, everyone has their opinion, however, it seems that with every release since around 1996, that many fans listen to the songs once, and form some kind of "expert opinion." For example: Chaos And Disorder has Prince in fine form on guitar, and is at least 80% solid music, but is somehow labeled as garbage by many of the faithful. It makes me believe that some are guilty of just hearing the music, and not listening to it. I do hear a bit of the "Purple Rain" era in "A Million Days," and I like what I hear.
