I would be thankful for all of the great music and inspiration.
Of course, I'd be stunned at first, and I'd miss looking forward to new stuff or performances of previously written stuff immensely.
It would be a retirement as well-earned as it would be lamented in many ways.

If he did retire he would be scratching his balls to make more music within days, if that!

The only reason I would be upset is because I wouldnt be able to go to anymore shows..Other than that I wouldnt care that much because I dont listen to his NEW music that much..

if Prince retired tomorrow,I wouldn't be upset.He's done so much,accomplished alot in his career,and look how many albums/songs/bootlegs we have to enjoy I feel this way about all of my favorite artists.If they reach a point where it's no longer fun or interesting for them,then they should retire and it would be okay.Mission accomplished.

I will say this:
There's no way u could have Prince retirement without a continuation of the music. I have 2 believe there are still so many songs Prince has in his back catalogue that need 2 be heard at one point or another.
