"From my n---a Diddy view, I think I see his vision too/ 'Purple Rain,' over Central Park..." Rick Ross said a night of hanging out with Diddy and the Ciroc Boys inspired the opening lines of his "Super High" record: "From my n---a Diddy view, I think I see his vision too/ 'Purple Rain,' over Central Park, chillin' with my goons." Ross, Diddy and a few friends were watching Prince's "Purple Rain" in the mogul's New York penthouse when he was inspired to write the lyrics. Ross' friendship with the founder of Bad Boy Records blossomed into a business relationship. Diddy is now a part of the Bawse's management team.

The music in that song is fantastic.
The lyrics, however, are wack. But that's not unusual. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee
"Water can nourish me, but water can also carry me. Water has magic laws." - JCVD

What does this have to do with Prince? We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Rick says "Purple Rain" during the first verse of the song. "You put water into a cup, it becomes the cup...Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend." - Bruce Lee

It was just a article I found this morning. The article featured an interview with rapper Rick Ross who is now managed by Diddy. The verse is from a new song and it was inspired from a night they were chillin' at Diddy's watching Purple Rain. Prime aka The Kid
