what are the BEST versions of these songs...

i mean, it's subjective of course. for years i made do with the versions of "databank" or "moonbeam levels" i had on the sabotage or moonraker sets from the '90's... but with the release of "box o' chocolates" and the slow but steady emergence of tracks in better quality now and then i am wondering if there is a master list of what cds have the BEST SOUNDING versions of stuff. now that "bo'c" is out the BEST sounding versions are available of lots of my favorites. but what about these?

Lisa
Feel U up/Irresistable bitch
Tick Tick Bang
Extralovable (i recently found a version in full length with okay sound)
moonbeam levels
purple music
computer blue (hallway speech)
possessed
around the world in a day (bass line)
old friends for sale
others here with us
a place in heaven (lisa version) would this be the pimpsandwich "dream factory"?
the ball
big tall wall (!)
large room no light
wonderful day
rebirth of the flesh
teacher teacher
the line

SO: what versions in circulation are the best for these? don't tell me "the work" unless it's actually true. surely new stuff has appeared... thanks! the recent emergence of great sounding stuff has me all inspired to put together a BEST SOUNDING VERSIONS comp. and p.s.: i don't care if there is a version that you like the best because of some nuance in his voice or some tiny bit of extra drum fill. if it's muffled and hissy, i'm not interested. i want to have the best sounding versions.
if you could just pass your history class, baby, life would be all right.

There are 'tweaked' versions of The Work, like 'Work It'. AFAIK, they're not sourced any better than the work, and probably taken from there and tweaked in a sound editing program - just a guess, I know nothing more, just 'Work It' is a tweaked version of The Work.

Work It isn't and never was a tweaked version of The Work.

Version 2.0 Updated (34 CDs) is the best massive collection right now. Much better sources have been used for most of the tracks. And it's all lossless except for some tracks that have always circulated as lossy.

The only better sources that came out since are FBG's 'Box O'Chocolates' and some tracks on Pure Funk's '30 Years Of Unreleased Funk' series.

If you get Work It 2.0, BOC and the '30 Years...' series you have all the circulating outtakes in the best quality available.

After that, you'd only need some stuff that came out after Work It 2.0 was assembled like the Tamar tracks or the snippets released like a year ago.

thanks all! good info! i'm not familiar with "30 years..."- i'll have to check that out. i like the quality of the pimpsandwich "dream factory"- most of the hiss and high pitch drone is gone- and it's the best "train" in my opinion... really clear and close to perfect. i'm going to cherry-pick here and there, and give those a looksee.

anybody else want to weigh in?
