Prince's onstage wardrobe..

at some point in his career, perhaps after the Purple Rain tour was over and done, it seems that Prince really upgraded his onstage wardrobe.

look at what he wore at the time gala....the slacks are perfect on him, as is the blazer. I know he has the resources to have things tailor made, but I feel he has good fashion sense.
certainly he's more mature and cant wear panties and leggings, but he's not just wearing t-shirts and jeans.

what do you think about his clothes?...he has to be one of the best dressed in the musical/entertainment field. no?

He´s got great taste 99% of the time....then there are those 1% occasions where he can look super tacky...like that pic when he arrived in Spain with Mayte and Larry.
But yeah, Prince has very good taste when it comes to clothes.
You need more than just resources in order to have style and class. There are so many celebrities with hideous tastes.
And a lot of the stuff he wears is almost timeless. He could still wear a lot of the stuff he wore in 1986.

I used to see Prince out often and you really couldn't tell the difference between his stage clothing and what he wore in public, except maybe for the Lovesexy mini skirt/skort, straps off his ass, high heel boot outfit. Love his style!

does Prince ever rock PINK. I mean other than Pink Cashmere. His guitar almost looks like a shade of pink. Pink and White would be fly.

He has. I saw him at Glam Slam Minneapolis in a hot pink outfit. He was with Carmen Electra.

I reckon the worst ever was the knitted jumper/tea cosy combo he was "rocking" in Septimo. Such a great performance, but I can hardly watch!

Because of the clothes he was wearing Hatman? I'd tolerate just about any clothing choice for that performance of (Sometimes I feel like a) Motherless Child. LOVED P's passion for that number! I will admit that outfit is not one of my favorites, though. shrug

Pink top for that morning performance a few years ago (was it Fury?) in NYC. And I saw him wear a pink version of his normal Jam of the Year outfit at the Glam Slam Miami after show after his Jam of the Year concert there (of course it was after it was already another club). And Mayte was dancing too.

Love his style I just wish he would retire the wide-legged pants. They kinda swallow him up lol and not in a good way lol

All of his clothes look like they feel good on the skin. If he likes 'em that's all that matters.

Only the Diamond and Pearls and ACt II outfits were hideous beyond believe. All the rest, however different was pretty cool stuff.

He has great dress sense and style.
I think he needs the flaired pants for now. He seems a little underweight to me and they hide it.

Love this outfit and also the similar style he wore at the Brit Awards (with W&L and Sheila E).

I love that sweater he was wearing at Septimo.
Elle85n09, I agree with you about Prince's passion while performing Motherless Child. One of my most favorites. biggrin

After Lovesexy, I think 1991-1993 had the best outfits. I didn't care much for the oversized sweater look around Emancipation.

They did the same thing in the Minneapolis NPG store. At different times they had outfits from SOTT and then Lovesexy. They weren't clean! neutral
