yeah they kind of go hand in hand for me. But I think Mutiny is a better song. It is less ego centric. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!"

Mutiny by a mile, performed live in 86 it is incredible with the horns and triple funky guitar.

Two great songs from a great album.
My pick is Mutiny, also the best song on that album. I am looking forward to the Fdeluxe album if it ever gets released, but I seriously doubt they be able to come up with anything as good as High Fashion, Mutiny, Screams Of Passion or Desire.

Mutiny for me, the album as a whole is a classic.

I love the way it was performed on the 1986 Parade Hit N Run shows right after Controversy. Classic! Those 2 songs were usually performed back 2 back because the driving (house) beat is similar in both. Sexy blend I liked how powerful they were at the 1986 Minneapolis Music Awards That was a hot show over all anyway, Love or Money, long version of Kiss

I've heard a lot of shit Prince covers in my time. Co-sign thanks, both of you! I actually did this song after hearing Prince mix it with Controversy, and we used to do it that way--as a medley. I hadn't heard the Family album in so long I forgot it was even on there. I thought it was just a Prince bootleg until I read this thread! My Legacy

High Fashion "cuz I just love little rich girls." When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

Neither had I but I found them on youtube. Prince must like Mutiny because there are many versions. Didn't really grab me and then one version is quite nice actually. But High Fashion is a little funkier I think. Are they original Prince songs, covers or whole albums? Anyone who has not heard these songs nor this album, you MUST hear it, your Princology is not complete until you hear this album and a few other protege albums.
1985/86 Music is very mature Prince music

Prince was very fond of performing Mutiny on tour. There's also a boot of him and the Revolution rehearsing 'The Screams Of Passion' though I can't recall if they ever did perform it on any tour. When I heard that, I mourned the lose of that time and band. Just to hear the working of the band with Prince, a very different sound from the album cut but just as good, and very intimate experience

One example would be the Truth live in Minneapolis 31-05-07. Another would be by Sheila E and the Peterson brothers in Melbourne two nights ago. Take it - like Clarence said:
"I got a million of them - all different U know."
