Your Dream Live DVD I doubt he will ever release a dvd of his best live performances. But lets just say you were in charge of picking the performances if he did..
Pick you favorite 10 live performances. Song, location and year. Example Lets go crazy/Kiss - Arsenio Hall Show, 1991 Bambi - Tokyo, 1989 Peach - Montreux jazz festival, 2009 Creep - Coachella, 2008 The Cross - Dortmund, 1988 Whole Lotta Love - Las Vegas, 2003 My Guitar Gently Weeps - RRHOF, 2004 Te amo corazon, Purple Rain, Lets Go Crazy - Brit Awards, 2006 Purple Rain - Minneapolis, 1983 Purple Rain - Atlanta Ga, 1985

The last jam of 2009 at Paisley would be a good one. But my dream live dvd, would be a selection of tracks from a selection of gigs during his 21 Nights stint in London.

If they could fix the sound somehow, that would be a good one. There are several entire shows that were filmed at Glam Slam and Paisley Park that I would love to see the light of day. TRUE BLUE

It's truly disappointing that the artist has such a lackluster output of officially released live video. Considering the Vegas DVD has such crappy production, It's really odd, I think.
And hell...dvd? How about Sign of the Times on Blu-Ray? That's one I would like to see/buy.

Booh! Baaad! THAT is exactly how HE would do it. Even like he did it with the aftershow release: one CD for 21 nights of aftershows (at ~14 of which he did appear). MikeyB71 said: Or an aftershows compilation.
See. No compilations. Just give us the full, unedited thing. It's easy and cheap. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

The Paisley gig would be a pretty bad dvd choice. Lots of filler, half the time he wasn't on stage and Larry Graham.

I would love a Nice Pro-shot DVD of the Gold tour ''Live Experience''
I just thought that formation of the NPG was superb and super funky The concert was great as well nearly all of the songs off the gold exp with hardly any hits played, I suppose it's because the GE is one of my fave albums But there was just something ''Cool'' about him back then Billy Jack Bitch, Race, P Control, Race e.t.c. And the stage was amazing!! And when he comes on to do GOLD at the end with the explosion and gold flakes everywhere!! I just think it would of made a excellent DVD release Any opinions? he might have better luck if he was drummin with his Dick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think I can agree. But I also think he is past that album/tour/show. Also his now-ex-wife is very much in that show. So I doubt he will ever release a show. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

We all know that Prince hasn't released a live concert Dvd in seven years.I even thoughtthat the Musicology tour would be released, considering the fact that is was his biggest grossing tour in 2004.I know a lot of you people say that I'll doubt he'll ever release anymore Dvd's.When the time is right,he'll put out one.I myself, would like to see a Blu Ray release of a best of hits from various tours, like the Controversy,Purple Rain,Lovesexy,2002 concerts,Musicology, etc. My hopes are still high. It's just a matter of time whenever Prince decides to release the shows.Peace!

I haven't actually heard or seen anything from that tour, but if it's like the 1994 shows I've heard and the television performances, there was way too much use of backing vocal tracks and dialogue clips thrown into the performances for this to be satisfying to me. Yeah, it's great material and the band was awesome, but every time the NPG operator or chorus of Prince's on tape comes in or the music stops so we can hear dialogue from a movie or something on the stuff I've heard, I kind of cringe.

the full unedited June 7th 1986 Detroit birthday show (which some orger a few years ago claims he seen with his own eyes at a Detroit Prince party in the early 90s) or the San Fransisco May 1986 Parade concert. Also, the June 7th 1984 birthday show @ First Avenue. Either one of those would do me just fine

`Paard van Troje` DVD! Camden Palace was filmed (on film!); PvT apparently exists on video but is basically very dark. © Bart Van Hemelen

If he releases the Montreux DVD I will be already happy. Somebody said here that in the contract, the Montreux guys have the right to release it, and some snippets were posted on YouTube, but I wonder when it will be released.

But speaking of the past, any live concert with the ´real´ NPG (Sonny, Barb, Michael B, Hayes) would make me very happy. I simply love that band and that period around 95 was very funky.

The last night (concert and after party) would be particularly amazing. Then I can do that geeky thing of pausing and trying to find myself in the audience lol

Last night was too mainstream. 29th of august aftershow , despite the lyrical changes is killer. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
