Done it a few years ago. What amazed me was that I played one album over a couple of nights to get the feel for the music and enjoy the album as a whole. I got so used to his falsetto that it really sounded strange when I got to hear "Controversy"! I know it sounds strange but its true! That was really good fun. Gonna have to do it again and include proteges and videos/dvds releases too

When I feel like I need to mix it up a bit and find that "love" for that purple funk (not that it's gone) that's exactly what I do.

I've listened to Prince chronologically in real time as the albums are released. Since Dirty Mind.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I always listen to him chronologically. I'll put on a specific album or song if I'm in the mood for it, but when I really get into listening to Prince, it's always from 1978 to the present. I'm weird that way.

Boy that 1996-2001 stuff is a real slog. And there's so damn much of it too.

PATSHEART

I have an hour drive to work and I do it about twice a year. For You still rates as an excellent listen. I will trim down and not go through the entire HITS CD since I've just listened to almost all of the songs anyway. It takes about 2 weeks when combined with all of my other driving.
I now present unto you an original person, one that is able to rationalize and make decisions that utilize intellectual significance. Yes, this person is on the endangered species list. - Patsheart April 2, 2009
