I love the song "Valentina". Is that really her daughters name? think of when she gets older,people will go up to her and say "Hey Valentina,tell ur mama she should give me a call".

A few years ago I was having work done on my car. Sitting there bored I thumbed through the various mags they had and came across Salma on the cover of ????.

After staring at the various photos of Salma for, oh...20 minutes, I decided to actually read the article. It was all about reaching 40 or whatever and she spoke about her biological clock, etc and how she wanted to have a baby. She professed how she was not old fashioned, rather a strong independent woman and was perfectly fine with raising her kid on her own. It kinda came across as just wanting a viable sperm donor and she'd do the rest. I dont remember exactly when this was but it was well before she had Valentina.

Start to hear rumors of her and Prince's friendship...never thought much of it but the young buck in me, as always, gave the man a quick "Go on Prince, ya big ol' pimp!"

Suddenly Salma is pregnant with some old dudes baby. And I've seen the photos of this guy. He looks waay old and Prince was right..."Sho as yo daddy's ugly..." or whatever he said in "Valentina."

After hearing "Valentina", my active imagination did the rest:

Salma wants a baby...Salma dont wanna be married...Salma is rather "artsy" and wants her child to be the same...Salma and Prince get involved...Salma wants Prince's creative genes for her baby...Salma asks Prince to father gorgeous and brilliant child...Prince refuses because of his "beliefs" or whatever...Salma goes on and gets with ugly guy...Prince realizes, for once, how much of an idiot he is...Prince tries to come back to Salma but its too late...Prince writes "Valentina".

Sadly, this is actually what I thought happened. Me and my hero worshipping active imagination.
