Common talks about the making of his latest CD, Electric Circus, and mentions Prince:

"He came to the studio one day and listened to the album," says Common of his new purple friend. "I'm sitting there like 'Man, Prince's listening to the whole album!' He's like 'This is your album?' He was energized, like 'I ain't know where you was gonna go with it, but this is wonderful.' And he told me that if Miles Davis was alive, he would do an album like this. This is how his hip hop would sound. That just touched me in a whole 'nother place."
