Lately I listen a lot to MC Solaar - this because I have to work part time in Paris and it's most enjoyable French rap and good music, too.
Anyway, it was the day before yesterday that I really got goose bumps when I listened closely to track 11 'Les Boys Bandent' (The Boys Band) of MC Solaar's 1997 album Paradisiaque.

After the second refrain, around 2:35 minutes a crying vocalisation starts and end so recognisable at 2:58 minutes.

Quickly I pressed rewind and had to listen again, but I was most certain:
it IS Prince's 1984 vocalisations from that wonderful song 'God' that MC Solaar sampled here.

I say vocal because it never was words or sentences. It's also hearable from 0:54 to 1:03 in the refrain "Boys Bandent". It's the sound "waa-aah-aah-aah-ooh" that Prince starts the song God with, before his refrain 'In the beginning...'
