The community goes back to a long while ago so i might have missed something in the late 90's, but for the 9 years i've had an internet connection and visited this forum and others, i've never heard such a story.

She did 3 gigs here in row the whole weekend. Now, Carmel claims that tka told her to go to the 3121 show and HE would c her in the front. that was what she did. All of a sudden, she is supposed 2 b talking 2 Prince from that day on. NOW when i read that he surfs the net looking 4 people who got his music and be pissed at Prince groups like this one, that was when i said: Well maybe she is telling the truth cause the book, papers, and mags say he spend a lot of time on the net. But that was how she say she came in ACTUAL contact was thru tyka on her myspace page. tyka told her to go to that show and the rest is me asking ya'll is IT POSSIBLE!!!! me and Carmel are frinds and we are arguing about this.

I personally doubt whether Prince in a middle of a concert can keep an eye out for girls but anythings possible I suppose. However, "finding someone" on the net I think is where the tale goes wrong. Anybody can claim to be Prince on the net. Think of how many people emulate their idols in manners of speech etc ect.
Besides all this, Prince seems pretty linked to Bria, publically stated or not and who knows we might have a wedding announcement in the upcoming Ebony in June.

If your friend really is talking to Prince I would seriously hope that he is helping her and considering sending her to counselling coz it sounds like she desperately needs it, to get her priorities right. She has a child for goodness sake. That is an adult responsiblity and running off to Prince concerts and forgoing her financial obligations is insanity. Not to mention the instability it brings to her child in the way of a stable home.

If you are a real friend, I would really take the opportunity of helping this lady open her eyes to her obsession and "possible" delusion and beg her to take care of the future generation with more love and care.

I spoke to Prince once back in the day when he was bediscream on AOL. He USED to be around, at least.

Well, it wasn't that great of a convo... He wasn't so forthcoming, and I was struck with self-consciousness. I think I started out by thanking him. I tried to talk to him about music proper. I asked him what the actual chords for Purple Rain were, and he credited Wendy for them. I asked him about "Geek City", the record Wendy and Lisa made when they were kids, and he corrected me and told me that it was actually called "Waldorf Salad",and that Wendy and Lisa would probably kill him for telling that. I also tried to find out if he was into underground music. I think I asked him about K Records, of all things... There were alot of strange Christian ass-kissers in the room, and I think Prince was kind of preaching to them... so, I wasn't into that... he was kind of silent and I assumed he was having jesus-y conversations with other people.

Back in the day I had seen Prince up close around MPLS a few times, and at Paisley. I think he recognizes me. During a Musicology show in San Jose, I was in the second row, and he made this point to literally point me out and make eye strong eye contact with me. It was totally strange.

I used to know his one of his assistants, too. Who showed him some of my bands promo stuff which referenced Prince directly.
