You guys sound like you had a good laugh.
A good listen. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Okay fellow orgers. Went to do errands today and had TGE rockin' on my Bose...in honor of yesterday's show. I'm going to admit that endorphinmachine would have been an ideal opening track and p control could have been left off, replaced with another song, or moved to a different spot. I had a napkin in my lap as I always drool when shhh plays, but skipped we march today(?) and nearly, but not quite, skipped tmbgitw. I had a religious experience with dolphin, and then got funky and dirty with now and 319. Talk about a triple play! Shy gave me a much (hush now) needed rest before billy jack bitch, which I love, but hate u just took me to another orbit. I needed gold to get myself together before getting out of the car!

How dare you? I say... how dare you? If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

How dare you? I say... how dare you? I almost left that thought out of my post. Will I ever live this down?!

How dare you? I say... how dare you? I'm with squirrelgrease on this one...I think P. Control is a great track, and it is perfectly placed on the album. I don't think Interactive--which was the opening track on some early configurations of TGE--would have packed quite the same punch as P. Control does. I just realized I'm a bit of a hypocrite, since I did in fact replace P. Control with Interactive in my latest configuration of '95-'95 era tracks. ā€ˇhttps://www.youtube.com/@PurpleKnightsPodcast

I was thinking that it really is quite rare (for me, at least) that I find so many great tracks, IMO, on the same album for any artist. I confess to being an eighties gal, but lately everytime I reach for a cd to pop in the car TGE happens to be the one I enjoy the most for the ride. To be honest, I feel this album may top some of my all time favorites from the eighties, but at this point in my life, I'm subject to change at any given moment (if you get my drift ) As far as leaving p control off the album, I initially wrote the post without that option and then had a classic brain fart, except I do agree with Ernest's opinion about endorphinmachine being a better opening track. Oh well. Hi ho, hi ho, off to timeout I go...

I'm sorry, but P Control is classic. It's practically the only Prince song after 1991 that any non-fan knows or is enthusiastic about, and they love it. I get requests to play this all the time for them.

That's because strippers across the country adopted it as their main song, including the girl that lived below my apartment in 1999/2000. She asked me for songs to dance to. I suggested "P Control" and "319". She said, "All the girls already use those two non-stop."
