Still Waiting, yay or nay! Silky, subtle, sweet, old fashioned Prince at his best. Love the naive vocals. The simple but beautiful little melody. The way to piano sounds. The little guitar fills. The backward vocalization of the title. Just an awesome little song.

Eh, I think it's fairly weak. I much prefer "It's Gonna Be Lonely." I do think that the live versions of "Still Waiting" that Prince performed in the early years (as heard on the City Lights bootleg) are much better than the studio version. | |

the whole prince album (this song especially, i think) has grown on me considerably. a bunch of lame lovey-dovey-type songs without the best lyrics or arrangements, but it (like most of p's stuff) has it's own unique charm. it and for you both. a young genius "finding his voice"  . it's cute. not the definitive princey album, but...cute  .For all time I am with you, you are with me. | |

Yay! This is actually the song that introduced me to Prince In early 1980,my mother was raving about a song that she had heard..she said it's called "Still Waiting".A few days later,she goes out and buys the 'Prince' album and plays this song to death! | |

This song and the other ballads on the album just weigh it down. This one's better than "When We're Dancing Close and Slow" (which is one of my least fave Prince tracks ever) but still rather snoozeworthy. Brace yourself
